Cricket Program Choices Guide For Parents and Players

Cricket Formats

2 x BLAST PROGRAMS Boys and Girls 5-12 Years of Age

1 JUNIOR BLAST Boys and Girls 5-7 Years of Age (Formerly In2Cricket)

Who is the suitable target for this Program?
Kids new to Cricket who are interested in learning a sport and who are looking to improve hand and eye coordination.  We teach the skills to build up to MASTER BLAST

When is Training?
                There is no training for this Program, the program is training and games in one time.

When are the Games?
We play on Friday evenings 6:45-7:45PM under lights with a BBQ.  The program runs for 6 weeks October-December and those that have built the skills will be encouraged to join in the second Master Blast program in February-March

Where are the Games?
Every Week we are at ERIC MOBBS RESERVE Castle Hill off Ferguson Avenue

What is the format of the Games?
We do a batting, bowling and fielding skill each night with a game using the skills at the end. Parent participation is required and we support the program with experienced senior cricketers each week

2 MASTER BLAST Boys and Girls 7-12 Years of Age (Formerly T20 Blast)

Who is the suitable target for this Program?
Players who can bowl a ball more than 12-14metres reasonably consistently, however it is part of the program to help the kids get these skills over time. Players looking to have a run around with their friends, mates or looking to make new friends.  Previous seasons has seen us run full girls teams, something the girls have really enjoyed.  Kids and Parents looking to get out on a Friday evening and have a fun run around

When is Training?
There is no Training for this Program games are the training.

When are the Games?
We play on Friday evenings 6:15pm-7:45pm, we will be running an 6 week program October-December and another 8 week program February-March, so you can register for the 14 week program or register for the 8 week program after Christmas.

Where are the Games?
Every Week we are at ERIC MOBBS RESERVE Castle Hill off Ferguson Avenue

What is the format of the Games?
We play a modified game every week where the kids bat with a partner for 4 overs each.  Teams are formed with 6-10 players per team, with a parent manager and parent scorer

2 x JUNIOR CRICKET PROGRAMS Boys and Girls Under 8-Under 17 Years of Age

UNDER 8’S - UNDER 11’S

Who is the suitable target for this Program?
Boys and Girls who are capable of bowling a ball from 12-14metres, this is not mandatory but a guide.  We are here to assist the kids in getting these skills.  Kids that want to put the cricket pads and cricket whites on and have a game with a near cricket ball. We teach and improve the skills for the players to move to Under 12’s

When is Training?
Training is once a week on a week day for an hour to one and a half hours. At Eric Mobbs Reserve Castle Hill, day and time to be determined by coach upon availability

When are the Games?
Games are played on a Saturday morning from 8:30am-10:30am from September –end of December – From February to early March with no Finals

Where are the Games?
Games are played in the Local area of the Hills into Holroyd on a home and away format

What is the format of the Games?
Bowling is off 16metres for 10’s and 18metres for 11’s, batting is based on a number of balls regardless of how many wickets are lost.

UNDER 12’S - UNDER 16’S

Who is the suitable target for this Program?
Boys and Girls who are capable of bowling a ball from 14-16 metres.  Kids that want to put the cricket pads on and have a run in the field with the whites on. 

When is Training?
Training is once a week on a week day for an hour to one and a half hours. At Eric Mobbs Reserve Castle Hill, day and time to be determined by coach upon availability

Games are played on a Saturday morning from 8:30am-12 noon from September –end of December – From February to early March with Finals

Where are the Games?
Games are played in the Local area of the Hills into Holroyd on a home and away format

The traditional rules of cricket with 11 players per team with 12 able to participate.

SENIOR CRICKET PROGRAM Men’s 14-Opens Age

Who is the suitable target for this Program?
Men and Boys from any skill level, we offer from A grade down to division 18 cricket.  Looking to make friends or just enjoy the game in a fun social environment.  We have fielded teams that are full of young players up to teams where we have mature players up to and over 50.

When is Training?
Training is once a week on a Wednesday for an hour and a half to two hours for those wishing to have a hit but it is not compulsory just for the company or for creating some more skills..

When are the Games?
Games are played on a Saturday afternoon from 1:30pm-6:15pm from September to March with Finals

Where are the Games?
Games are played in the Local area of the Hills into Holroyd on a home and away format

What is the format of the Games?
The traditional rules of cricket with 11 players per team with 12 able to participate.
